MESMERISING MALAYSIANS AT HE ELCA 2024

Oops, they did it again!

For the second consecutive year, the same team walked away with the 2nd runner-up title in the Harmony Huddle (a fancy name for choral speaking) competition at the Higher Education English Language Carnival (HE ELCa) 2024. The UMPSA ‘Mesmerising Malaysians’ line-up which comprised of ten speakers and one conductor competed against eight other representatives from notable universities, such as Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), and Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI).

STAF PBM MENYERTAI KEMERIAHAN SAMBUTAN MAULIDUR RASUL PERINGKAT UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA PAHANG AL-SULTAN ABDULLAH

9 Oktober 2024 – Aktiviti tahunan Sambutan Maulidur Rasul disambut meriah di masjid baru Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan (UMPSA) Pekan. Sekumpulan staf pentadbiran dan teknikal Pusat Bahasa Moden (PBM) turut memeriahkan majlis dengan menyertai perarakan ini. Segak berbaju batik dengan perhiasan tangan diiringi laungan selawat yang diketuai oleh Encik Mohd Shahanor. Bertemakan Al-Falah Pemacu Malaysia Madani, suasana perarakan kali ini meriah dengan disertai oleh 28 kontigen lain yang mewakili semua pusat tanggungjawab di UMPSA.

EMPOWERING PAHANG'S LANGUAGE EDUCATORS: COMMUNITY OUTREACH @PPD PROGRAMME

MARAN, TEMERLOH & BERA, 10 October 2024 – The Centre for Modern Languages (CML) in collaboration with the Institute of Postgraduate Studies (IPS), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), organised the Community Outreach @PPD programme in three districts in Pahang, namely Maran, Temerloh and Bera. This programme is also a collaborative effort with the Pahang State Education Department (JPNP) and the selected District Education Offices (PPD).

CEFR-INFORMED ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSES IMPLEMENTATION AUDIT WORKSHOP IN PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES: SERIES 1, 2024

KAJANG, 14 May 2024 - The first series of the CEFR-Informed English Language Courses Implementation Audit Workshop for 2024 successfully took place at the Park Inn by Radisson Putrajaya.

The event, which brought together English language academicians from 20 public universities (IPTA) across Malaysia, aimed to review and audit the alignment of English courses offered at these institutions with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The workshop's main objective was to ensure that the audited courses aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), a global standard for measuring language proficiency.

PROFESSOR TURUN PADANG: ENHANCING PUPILS’ PRODUCTIVE LANGUAGE SKILLS AND ECO-CONSCIOUSNESS

KUALA KRAU, PAHANG, 11 OCTOBER 2024 – The Centre for Modern Languages (CML), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) organised a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme under the ‘Professor Turun Padang’ (PTP) initiative entitled Learn English Outdoor.

The PTP program was carried out on 11 October 2024 at SMK Kuala Krau, Temerloh, Pahang, in collaboration with the Centre for Industry and Community Network (ICoN) and Centre for Corporate Communication, and as part of the Kembara TVET@Kuala Krau program. This is a UMPSA program aiming to strengthen the TVET initiative and CSR programmes with the Kuala Krau communities.
