PEKAN, 25 June 2026 - The Centre for Modern Languages, in collaboration with the Language Support Unit and the Applied Linguistic Focus Group, successfully organised an academic writing workshop titled Practical Writing Approaches for Journal and Thesis Writing: Effective and Ethical Use of AI Tools for Research and Thesis Writing. The workshop was held on Thursday, 25 June 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
PEKAN, 19 May 2026 – The Centre for Modern Languages (CML), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), is actively paving the way to become the East Coast hub for the computer-based International English Language Testing System (IELTS). This aspiration was discussed during a strategic meeting between Mr. Thinesh Amaresin, representative from IDP Education Malaysia, and the following CML representatives: Dr. Ezihaslinda Ngah (Head of Department); Dr. Wan Jumani Fauzi (Coordinator of the Score for IELTS Course); Siti Ainun Jariyah Hassan (Head of the Competency Unit); and Alia Najaa Md Nor (IELTS Coordinator).
TEMERLOH, 18 Mei 2026 – Program SULAM Meriah Bahasa Melayu 2026 telah berlangsung dengan jayanya di SJK(T) Ladang Lanchang, Temerloh, Pahang.Program ini merupakan inisiatif Service-Learning Malaysia – University for Society (SULAM) bagi kursus ULB1312 Bahasa Melayu Komunikasi yang melibatkan pelajar antarabangsa UMPSA serta dibantu oleh pelajar tempatan yang mengikuti kursus ULB3712 Bahasa Melayu Dokumentasi. Melalui program ini, para pelajar berpeluang mengaplikasikan pembelajaran di dalam bilik kuliah secara langsung bersama komuniti, sekali gus menjadikan proses pembelajaran lebih bermakna dan berimpak tinggi.
KUALA LUMPUR, 4 Jun 2026 – Buat julung kalinya, seramai 15 pelajar Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) daripada Program Business Engineering di bawah Dual Degree bersama Mannheim University of Applied Sciences (HMA), Jerman telah menduduki peperiksaan Bahasa Jerman tahap B1 yang dianjurkan oleh Goethe-Institut, Kuala Lumpur.
PEKAN, 21 May 2026 – The Centre for Modern Languages (CML), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), successfully organised a Global Classroom session titled “Agree to Disagree: Crafting Powerful Argumentative Essays” in collaboration with University College London (UCL). Conducted via Microsoft Teams, the virtual session brought together engineering students and language educators to explore the role of argumentative writing in academic and professional contexts.
