We offer in-house translation, editing and proofreading services for the university, and keen academicians who wish to get their writings published. We also extend our services to external parties. Our trained staff and ITBM certified translators from the Centre for Modern Languages (CML) can translate, proofread, or edit your documents at affordable rates.

Our translation rates vary according to: (1) the source language and the target language; (2) number of words (3) turnaround/ deadline (normal service, urgent service, or highly urgent service); (4) type of text; (5) level of difficulty; (6) availability of translator(s).
English - Malay translation rate starts from RM0.15 per word (RM37.50 per standard page) - RM0.20 per word (RM50.00 per standard page) while Malay - English translation rate starts from RM0.25 per word (RM62.50 per standard page) - RM0.30 per word (RM75.00 per standard page). For translation from Malay or English to other languages (e.g., Arabic, German, etc.), translation from foreign languages to Malay or English, please contact Translation and Editing (TED) Unit.

Editing: Eliminates errors and inconsistencies and enhances overall quality of writing
Editing rates vary according to: (1) number of words; (2) turnaround/ deadline (normal service, urgent service, or highly urgent service); (4) type of text; (5) level of difficulty; (6) availability of editor(s)/ proofreader(s). Editing rates usually ranges from RM 0.05 per word (RM 12.50 per standard page) – RM 0.10 per word (RM 25 per standard page).
A complete Turnitin Similarity Index Report may be required (Similarity Index should not exceed 25%).

Proofreading: Eliminates errors and mistakes in grammar, misspellings, and punctuation errors.
Proofreading rates vary according to: (1) number of words; (2) turnaround/ deadline (normal service, urgent service, or highly urgent service); (4) type of text; (5) level of difficulty; (6) availability of editor(s)/ proofreader(s). Proofreading rates usually ranges from RM7.00 to RM10.00 per standard page. A complete Turnitin Similarity Index Report may be required (Similarity Index should not exceed 25%).
