A JOURNEY THROUGH LANGUAGE, FAITH AND HERITAGE: VISITING KLANG'S CHINESE MUSLIM MOSQUE

KLANG, 28 December 2024 – The Chinese Language Society has successfully organised a learning trip to Klang accompanied by the Centre for Modern Languages, CML Mandarin language teachers, Lee Cheng May. The goal of this event was to strengthen the connection between society members from Gambang and Pekan campuses, while also promoting intercultural exchange. A special part of the trip included a visit to the newly built Chinese Mosque in Klang, which was completed in July 2024. This visit aimed to give students a chance to understand the differences between Chinese mosques and traditional Malay mosques, as well as offer non-Muslim students a deeper insight into Islamic culture.

BENGKEL PENULISAN MEMARTABATKAN BAHASA MELAYU DI PJIM

PEKAN, 23 Januari 2025 – Pusat Jaringan Industri dan Masyarakat (PJIM), UMPSA telah menganjurkan Bengkel Memartabatkan Bahasa Melayu melalui penulisan laporan, berita dan karya kreatif dengan matlamat memperkukuh penggunaan Bahasa Melayu dalam pelbagai medium khususnya menerusi penulisan. Bengkel ini disampaikan oleh Jamilah Bebe Binti Mohamad, guru bahasa Melayu Pusat Bahasa Moden (PBM). 

Melalui bengkel ini, para staf PJIM diberikan pendedahan tentang kaedah penulisan yang berkesan menggunakan Bahasa Melayu, khususnya dalam menghasilkan penulisan berita, laporan, dan karya kreatif. Penekanan diberikan kepada penghasilan bahan penulisan yang berkaitan serta relevan dengan program-program yang dianjurkan oleh jabatan ini

CML VISITS PEKAN PUBLIC LIBRARY

PEKAN, 22 January 2025 - The Centre for Modern Languages (CML) as a language centre celebrates students and surrounding communities. This is proven as three language instructors include Arulselvi, Alia Najaa, and Wan Noor Farah set out on a monumental visit to the Pekan Public Library. 

The trios were greeted by Norkamila binti Mahmud, Head of Pekan Public Library accompanied by the friendly staff members there. The primary purpose of the visit was to discuss a potential collaboration between the Centre for Modern Languages and the Pekan Public Library as part of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. 

CML EKSA TEAM LEVELS UP!

Pekan, 13 January 2025 – Several staff members from the Centre for Modern Languages (CML) attended the UMPSA Ekosistem Kondusif Sektor Awam (EKSA) Internal Auditor Workshop 2025 organised by the Centre for Strategic and Quality Management, UMPSA. The two-day workshop was held on 13-14 January at the Banquet Hall, UMPSA Pekan.

The invited guest speaker was TS. Muhaimin Mustaqim bin Jamaludin, Senior Assistant Secretary (Quality Section) at the Pejabat Setiausaha Kerajaan (PSUK) Negeri Pahang, is a distinguished expert and an invaluable resource in all matters pertaining to EKSA. According to TS. Muhaimin Mustaqim, EKSA is an ongoing practice aimed at creating a more conducive and systematic workplace environment. Small but continuous efforts involving all employees are key steps in realising EKSA in the workplace.
