SHARING SESSION: DIGITAL CONTENT CREATION

14 January 2022 – The very first series of sharing sessions this year entitled “Digital Content Creation” was conducted virtually by the Centre for Modern Languages (CML) for its associates on this blessed Friday morning. The main objective of this sharing session is to expose the CML associates with some useful information regarding the creation of digital content. For that reason, two renowned speakers in this field, Assoc. Prof. Dr Hamdan bin Daniyal, the Dean of Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology and Dr Azwin Arif bin Abdul Rahim, the Head of Technical & Services, CML were invited to share their experience and some valuable input on this topic.

PROGRAM SASTERAWAN DI UNIVERSITI (SDU) SIRI 1: BENGKEL PENULISAN PUISI

Program Sasterawan di Universiti (SDU) Siri 1: Bengkel Penulisan Puisi was held on 4th December 2021, organized by Modern Language Centre UMP. The program was conducted for 3 hours, starting at 2 pm until 4 pm. The session started with how to write poetry including the practical writing sessions which held for 45 minutes, and 15 minutes for sharing and feedback session on poetry writing and ended with the closing ceremony.

ENGLISCAPE ON THE GO 2021

11 DECEMBER 2021 – A half-day programme named Engliscape on the Go 2021 was conducted at the Centre for Modern Languages (CML), UMP Pekan. It was this year’s highlight programme under Program Akademi Menara Gading Universiti Malaysia Pahang Yayasan Al-Sultan Abdullah 2021 (AMG UMP YASA) and directed by Ms Nur Syafawati Sabuan with assistance from members of Community Services Unit and CML Language Support Community (CLSC) Unit.

CML CELEBRATES POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENTS IN HI-TEA

Aisyah Khaleeda stood at the podium in Megaview Hotel, where the Centre of Modern Languages (CML) held their inaugural CML Postgraduate Hi-Tea 2021 on 15 December from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. to celebrate their postgraduate students’ achievements, and admitted that UMP was in actual fact, chosen for practical reasons. She said that her decision to pursue her Master’s at UMP was because it was nearer to home.

MUET BRAIN GYM: LISTENING

10 December 2021- Competency Unit of Centre for Modern Languages (CML) managed to organise a series of MUET Brain Gym to accommodate UMP MUET candidates with the necessary preparation for year 2022. A language teacher in the department, Noraisah Nurul Fatwa Mohd Razali, an experienced MUET examiner, was invited to hold a 2-hour session to more than 50 UMP students particularly on the Listening Paper.
