MUET E-SEMINAR 2022 FOR UMP MUET CANDIDATES

11 March 2022 – Competency Unit of Centre for Modern Languages (CML), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) had successfully organized MUET E-Seminar 2022 via MS Team from 9:00 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. to cover all four language skills. The main objective of this e-seminar is to provide the opportunity for UMP MUET candidates to equip themselves with the all-out preparation for the upcoming MUET session in 2022.

2022 EID UL-FITR CELEBRATION AT CML IS MERRIER THAN EVER

28 May 2022 – In the light of Syawal, Centre for Modern Languages (CML) has held Hari Raya Aidilfitri, or Eid ul-Fitr celebration and a farewell ceremony of Dr. Chiam Kee Swan from CML which was attended and enlivened by more than 90 people.

Among those presents to memorialise the celebration were Centre for Modern Languages’ (CML) staff, 27 Form 5 students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Indera Shahbandar (SMKIS) as part of the UMP YASA Akademi Menara Gading programme, and 5 of their accompanying teachers.

SMOOTH RUNNING OF ENGLISH WRITTEN TEST

27 April 2022 - The Centre for Modern Languages (CML) jointly with the Student Affairs and Alumni Department (SAffAD) conducted an English Written Test for students who were shortlisted for UMP Foundation Excellence Scholarship Offer 2022.

A total of 21 candidates from various undergraduate courses were shortlisted through preliminary screening. They were from College of Engineering (KKEJ) with 4 candidates, Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Technology (FTKMA) with 7 candidates while Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronic Engineering Technology (FTKPM) with 2 candidates.

BROADCAST JOURNALISM 101: READY, SET, GO!

7 April 2022 – On the 5th Ramadhan, the 1-hour Broadcast Journalism 101: A Sharing Session webinar organized by the Language Support Unit, Centre of Modern Languages (CML), UMP was successfully held via MS Teams. Generally, this program is an initiative of the Unit to provide the opportunity for the students to learn the basic techniques for preparing news report videos like broadcast journalism and event reporting.
