ULE3762 PROJECT-BASED PROPOSAL WRITING

The course is designed to develop students’ ability in writing a project-based proposal with regard to their final year undergraduate research project (URP) or Projek Sarjana Muda (PSM). Students are facilitated in composing a title, an abstract, Introduction, Literature Review and Methodology sections of a project proposal. The emphasis is on academic writing conventions and skills where grammar is implicitly embedded into the process. Elements of citation techniques and referencing are taught to develop students’ awareness about the risks of plagiarism. Additionally, Gantt charts are taught to assist students’ in their project planning and scheduling. The course is defined within the CEFR B2 to high C1.
By the end of the semester, students should be able to:

Synthesize research articles based on the objective of a project-based proposal.
CO2:
Complete an introductory and literature review sections of a project-based proposal.
CO3:
Propose a complete project-based proposal in a written and oral presentation format.
