UMPSA CLUB ADVISORS MEET TO IMPROVE STUDENT ENGAGEMENT
Gambang, September 26, 2024 - Akademi Adab Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) hosted a meeting for the advisors of various student clubs. This is aimed to enhance student engagement, address key operational matters, and bring together dedicated advisors from diverse cultural and language clubs.
The meeting was chaired by Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Rusllim bin Mohamed, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs & Alumni, alongside Dr. Nizam, the Director of the (ADAB). Their leadership fostered a collaborative atmosphere that discussed student activities, financial reports, and overall progress.
Among the attendees are Kang Mei Feng and Lee Cheng May from the Mandarin Club; Mardhiyyah Zamani from the Arabic Club (KEBARA); Rosjuliana Hidayu Rosli, Assistant Advisor for KEBARA and advisor for the Student Residential College 3 Representative (PEKA3) and Azlina Mohd Ariffin representing the Espansia Club (Spanish Club).
The meeting provided a valuable platform for advisors to review student activity reports presented by MTAP students, discuss financial matters, and share successes and challenges from the past semester. A key theme of the meeting was the emphasis on collaboration among the clubs. Advisors explored ways to work together to enhance student engagement and create a more enriching university experience.
This meeting represents a proactive step towards fostering a vibrant student community at UMPSA, aimed at creating a supportive environment for cultural exploration and language learning. As the academic year progresses, these clubs are set to play an important role in enriching campus life and promoting diversity within the student body, highlighting UMPSA's commitment to student development.
