MUET SUCCESS THROUGH E-SEMINAR FOR SESSION 1 2026
10 April 2026 – The Centre for Modern Languages, UMPSA, in collaboration with the General Studies Department, Politeknik Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (POLISAS), successfully organised an engaging and comprehensive MUET E-Seminar as part of the preparations for MUET Session 1 2026. The online event aimed to support students in enhancing their English language proficiency while equipping them with the confidence to achieve their desired Malaysian University English Test (MUET) band scores.
The seminar emphasised accessibility and inclusivity. Approximately 100 participants registered by scanning a QR code provided on the poster, which simplified the registration process. The organisers also expressed hope that such initiatives would continue to reach a broader audience, including students from both institutions, in their efforts to improve English proficiency.
The session commenced at 8:00 a.m. with the Writing component, conducted by Nadrah Zainal Abidin, an instructor from POLISAS. This was followed by the Reading session at 9:00 a.m., led by Siti Ainun Jariyah Hassan, a senior language teacher from UMPSA.
At 10:00 a.m., participants engaged in the Listening session facilitated by Nor Aini Hussain, an instructor from POLISAS. The seminar concluded with the Speaking component at 11:00 a.m., delivered by Hamizah Zahari, a senior language teacher from UMPSA.
The e-seminar was carefully structured to follow a clear and logical sequence. This arrangement ensured a smooth flow of activities and allowed participants to focus on one component at a time, thereby maintaining an engaging and manageable learning pace.
Throughout the session, all four essential MUET components were thoroughly covered. As a result, participants received targeted guidance and practical strategies across each skill area, which proved especially beneficial for those preparing for the examination. Each speaker also brought valuable expertise and insights, enabling participants to apply effective techniques when tackling MUET tasks with greater confidence.
Overall, the MUET E-Seminar reflected the strong commitment of both institutions to supporting language development and academic success. By leveraging digital platforms, the organisers successfully extended learning opportunities beyond traditional classroom settings, in line with current trends in online education
In short, the seminar proved to be a valuable initiative. Participants not only strengthened their MUET skills but also gained practical exam strategies and increased confidence. The event marked a meaningful step towards helping students achieve better results in the upcoming MUET examination.
