HIRAGANA WORKSHOP 2023

On Saturday, May 13, 2023, UMP Japanese Language Professional Club (JANPU), organized an event named HIRAGANA WORKSHOP 2023 specifically for Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) students.

The programme, scheduled from 9.00 A.M. to 12.30 P.M., took place at W-DKU-K-01 and was attended by a total of 60 students, in a mix of physical attendees and those joining online via Microsoft Team.

The programme successfully achieved its objective, which was to introduce students to Hiragana Writings. Student engagements during the programme were satisfying, with participants showing full cooperation and proactive involvement.

The programme officially kicked-off at 9.30 A.M with a welcoming speech by the emcee, and followed by a dua’ recitation by Muhammad Alfi, a committee member for the event.

Next, the programme featured an introduction to Hiragana writing, presented by the programme's invited speaker, Ms. Syahrina Ahmad.

Over a span of 2 hours, Ms. Syahrina, passionately delivered interesting and informative inputs to the students, while actively interacting with both physical and online participants.

The students, on the other hand, demonstrated proactiveness and active engagement throughout the session as they completed the task given such as Hiragana syllables and Hiragana exercise papers.

Afterwards, the activities carried on with a quiz session for the students using the Kahoot website to test their understanding.

The programme concluded with 10 selected winners from the Kahoot quiz and finally wrapped up with a lively photo session.
