Colleagues Rally Round for Flood Affected Colleague

It is not too late to wish everyone a Happy New Year in spite of the wet and windy season welcoming the start of 2021. Continuous cold and heavy rain since New Year’s Eve caused flooding in several states of the country and parts of Pahang were swamped in floodwaters. Our close associate, Encik Mohd Iszuani Bin Mohd Hassan or better known as Sensei Iszuani, from Maran suffered properties damage and loss due to the flooding on the weekend, and was later brought to a nearby relief center.

On 5th January 2021, spearheading the effort, the Deputy Dean of Academic - Dr. Abdullah Adnan Mohamed, together with the Head of Foreign Language Department, Dr Mohammad Musab Bin Azmat Ali with several others from Penerbit and JPPH gave up their time to help out with the clean-up operation. In addition, donations of food, clean clothes and financial assistance were received from associates for Sensei Iszuani and his family members. The team did everything for few hours from moving damaged possessions to cleaning the house and all the hard work paid off in the end as the abode was ready to welcome the family back to home safely.

A big thank you to all hands and hearts for the wonderful kindness and support. Though this thoughtful gesture and quick response may be a minimal effort, it is the little things that count. Hence, it is hoped that everyone stays healthy and safe during this rainy season amid the challenging Covid-19 pandemic.
