CENTRE FOR MODERN LANGUAGES EARNS FIVE-STAR RECOGNITION IN MyRA 2025

PEKAN, 20 July 2026 – The Centre for Modern Languages (CML), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), has been awarded a Five-Star Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of its outstanding contribution to the Malaysia Research Assessment (MyRA) 2025 data submission.

The certificate acknowledges CML's dedication and invaluable support in strengthening the university's research performance through active participation in the MyRA assessment process. The recognition reflects the centre's continuous commitment to fostering a research-driven culture while supporting UMPSA's aspiration for academic and institutional excellence.

The certificate, presented by Professor Dr. Irene Ting Wei Kiong, the Director of Rankings and Data Division of UMPSA to Associate Professor Dr. Zuraina Ali, the Dean of CML, highlights the centre's commendable overall achievement, earning five-star recognition.

CML demonstrated notable performance in the Quantity and Quality of Postgraduates category, achieving 140%, reflecting exceptional performance in postgraduate-related research indicators.

This achievement is a testament to the dedication, collaboration, and commitment of CML staff in supporting the university's research agenda. It further reinforces the centre's role in advancing research excellence, academic quality, and institutional impact.
