STAFF IN ACTION AT CML BOWLING CHAMPIONSHIP 3.0

PEKAN, 12 December 2025 – CML Bowling Championship 3.0 turned Premium Lanes, Pekan Bowling Centre, into a playground of fun and friendly competition. Staff from Centre for Modern Languages (CML) and Centre for Digital Technology (DiTec) came together to bond and enjoy a break from their office routine.

Participants dressed in traditional outfits, adding colour to the lanes. Standout moments included Mohammad Baihaqi Hasni and Mahzaton Aqma Abu Talip, whose creative accessories drew admiration from colleagues.

As the games progressed, the atmosphere grew electric. Every strike and spare was met with cheers and encouragement. Representatives from the CML management team, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noor Raha Mohd Radzuan, Dr. Ezihaslinda Ngah, and Dr. Siti Norzaimalina Abd Majid were on hand to support participants and present awards, reinforcing the department’s commitment to staff engagement and well-being.

The results of the championship were as follows: the Arabic Team (Amir Haikal Imran Ahmad Asha’ari, Nurul Farhana Zakaria, and Badrul Naim Abidin) took home the gold medal, followed by the Malay Team (Syahrina Ahmad, Tuan Mohd Haffiz Tuan Ahmad, and Athirah Ruzaini) with silver, and the Korean Team (Khairul Bahri Abdul Samad, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hafizoah Kassim, and Hafis Hafifi Karim) claiming bronze.

In the individual men’s category, Amir Haikal Imran Ahmad Asha’ari was crowned champion, Khairul Bahri Abdul Samad earned runner-up, and Hafis Hafifi Karim secured third place.

For the individual women’s category, Syahrina Ahmad took the top spot, followed by Nurul Farhana Zakaria as runner-up, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hafizoah Kassim in third place.

Adding extra fun to the event, the organizers also presented special awards, including Gutter Kings and Gutter Queens, which delighted both participants and spectators.

Hafis Hafifi from DiTec shared his excitement at playing alongside colleagues from other departments. He was thrilled to unexpectedly secure third place in both the individual and team categories, making the experience more memorable.

The joy was extended to all participants, as everyone received souvenirs, leaving with smiles and lasting memories. The Gift Committee, led by Nurul Syazwani Aziz, managed the awards effectively.

The CML Bowling Championship 3.0 proved that it is about building friendships and strengthening the bonds that make the workplace a thriving community.
