Recognition to our writers in CML

This year, UMP Press organizes “Majlis Inspirasi SUARA UMP” as a bimonthly event in Executive Lounge, UMP library to commemorate publication achievements by UMP staff in the hopes of producing more writers, especially among the academics.
On the 26th of September, the event was celebrated to recognize the writer’s efforts in publishing books under SUARA UMP. CAIC Series III: Teaching and Learning was among the four books launched during the event. It is a 3rd edition of CAIC series that reflects a continual contribution of UMP experts in T & L research. Our very own CML teaching staff were among the writers in this series. They were Assoc Prof Dr. Zuraina Ali, Dr. Ruhil Amal Azmuddin, Nabila Abdul Malek, Nurul Nadia Muhammad and Rosnani Ismail. The book highlights experiences and expertise of our teaching staff in T & L of English both relevant to private and public universities. The event was launched by our Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd. Rosli Hainin, Chief librarian, UMP Library, Azman Abdul Rahim and Director, UMP Press, Ts. Dr. Muhammad Mat Noor.
On 13th November 2020, UMP Press launched another four books and presented certificates of appreciation and souvenirs to contributors of articles and scholarly articles. To kick start the event, the recitation of nazam gurindam entitled “Kasih Ayah dan Ibu” was melodiously read by one of our very own teaching staff, Juwairiah Osman. The event then gave recognition to our journal, International Journal of Language Education and Applied Linguistics for achieving MyCite recognition. The award was given to the editorial board consisting of Assoc Prof Dr Hafizoah Kassim, Assoc Prof Dr. Noor Raha Mohd Radzuan, Dr. Asiah Kassim, Dr. Nor Yazi Khamis, and Dr. Ruhil Amal Azmuddin. This recognition was also made possible with the help of our assistant editors Noraisah Nurul Fatwa Mohd Razali, Nurkarimah Yusof, Nursyaheedah Muhammad Isa, Siti Muslihah Isnain and our technical editor Najjahul Huda Hassan. Let us embrace publication as a key to growth both in our lives as well as for academic development. To more publications and awards for CML! Congratulations to all.
