MUET Reading: Intensive Class

11 March 2020 – To better prepare UMP MUET candidates this year, the Centre for Modern Languages (CML) Competency Unit took the initiative to organise a three-hour intensive class specifically focusing on the reading component. The session was held at Block X, Gambang Campus involving quite a number of interested students. On a side note, all of them were UMP final-year students who intended to pursue their bachelor’s degree education straight after Diploma graduation. 

The intensive class was managed by Puan Azimah Ahmad Zaki, a senior language teacher who has published a MUET Reading handbook entitled Fixit MUET: Reading together with a few colleagues of hers. The handbook was used as the main reference and aside from receiving inputs on how to answer reading questions, the students were also tasked with answering a few mock tests. It is hoped that this intensive class would benefit the students in all manner of ways.
