MUET BRAIN GYM: LISTENING

10 December 2021- Competency Unit of Centre for Modern Languages (CML) managed to organise a series of MUET Brain Gym to accommodate UMP MUET candidates with the necessary preparation for year 2022. A language teacher in the department, Noraisah Nurul Fatwa Mohd Razali, an experienced MUET examiner, was invited to hold a 2-hour session to more than 50 UMP students particularly on the Listening Paper.

The session was conducted on Google Meet, which began at 10:00 a.m with an interesting video uploaded by the instructor in her YouTube channel and ended at 12:00 pm. At the beginning of the session, the speaker briefed the participants about the format for MUET and that includes the sample of Listening questions, techniques and tips to ace the listening paper, and finally a Q&A slot at the end of the session.

All the students actively participate and give feedback throughout the session. The instructor also shared a few fun techniques to increase their listening skills through watching English movies, listening to songs and playing listening games! It was a successful event and it is hoped that the participants will benefit from it. Congratulations to all who attended this series of MUET Brain Gym and all the best!
