INNOVATING FOR TOMORROW: CML PREPARES FOR THE 17TH KIK NEW HORIZON CONVENTION 2024

GAMBANG, 29 August 2024 - The 17th Public University Innovative and Creative Group (KIK) New Horizon (HB) Convention 2024, hosted by Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), has showcased 28 teams from various departments, including the Centre for Modern Languages (CML) with their team, Sujana Kirana.

This convention aims to foster a culture of innovation and creativity among the university community through projects and ideas that solve problems and improve service delivery quality at the university level.

In preparation for this prestigious event, a workshop was held at Dewan Tun Fatimah, UMPSA Gambang Campus. The UMPSA Quality Assurance Department organised the workshop under the Centre for Strategic Management & Quality (PPSK) from 8.00 AM to 5.00 PM.

The main speaker was Al-Bakri Mohamad@Ahmad, a distinguished UiTM Seremban, Negeri Sembilan lecturer. Al-Bakri, an award recipient for Best Facilitator in the KIK UiTM Southern Zone Convention 2019 and a reference expert in Innovative & Creative Groups (KIK) shared valuable insights with nearly 100 UMPSA participants, including three representatives from CML.

Sarah Zulkiple, the dedicated coordinator of Sujana Kirana's CML KIK Project team, attended the workshop with her teammates, Yanti Salina Shaari and Marziah Ramli. Throughout the workshop, they actively engaged with the insights provided and plan to share them with the rest of the team to refine their KIK project further.

The workshop concluded with a closing speech by Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Norazwina Zainol, Director of the UMPSA Quality Assurance Department, Centre for Strategic Management & Quality (PPSK). She praised the commitment of all UMPSA 2024 participants and emphasised the importance of innovation and creativity in developing the university's future projects.

With such initiatives, UMPSA continues to foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, positioning itself as a progressive institution. The commitment shown by all participants this year serves as a testament to the university's ongoing efforts to drive progress and ensure sustainable development in future projects.
