Centre for Modern Languages Assists UMP Students during MCO
Five staff from Centre for Modern Languages (CML) have been working hard in assisting the residential students who are staying in the residential colleges during the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO).
Three of them serve at the Residence College 3; Mrs. Rosjuliana Hidayu Rosli - the Principal of Residence College 3, Mrs. Hanisah Bon (Kasbon) and Mrs. Juwairiah Osman - fellows on duty during the MCO. Mrs. Juwairiah Osman served until May 4, 2020. They have been in charge of the residents' welfare by distributing food and daily necessities, motivating, managing and receiving donation from government and outside agencies and also carrying out activities to fill free time throughout the MCO from March 17 to the present.
They also assisted the Department of Student Affairs and Alumni (JHEPA) during the process of sending UMP students to their hometowns starting on May 1, 2020. The other two members of CML, Mr. Shamsul Harbi and Ms Jamilah Bebe Mohamad, were acting as the Liaison Officers (LO's) to accompany the students to their hometowns on May 1, 2020.
We do hope that the contribution made by members of CML would help and assist the involved students and generally to UMP. Let us work together to stay at home and continue to take precautions to break the covid-19 infectious disease chain.
