Call for Jury during MCO!

March 2020, the Malaysian Government issued movement control order (MCO) due to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and this has changed the landscape of human life today. Many aspects of our daily lives have been digitalised and events opt for a digital platform to adjust to a new norm.

In accordance to this, the International Innovation Competition (INNOCOM 2020) and International Science And Social Science Innovation Competition (ISIC II) were done fully online organised by The Academic International Dialogue. One of the juries, Puan Rosjuliana Hidayu Rosli from Centre for Modern Languages, Universiti Malaysia Pahang said that, "it was fascinating to see how participants' ideas developed through interaction with one another, furthermore, discussion on a specific innovation or topic will help to exchange views, to get new ideas, to improve knowledge, as well as to confirm on the correctness of obtained results”.

Although pandemic can be stressful and overwhelming, this event showed that creativity and innovations can be ideated and cherished at any moment, even at these times of crisis and restrictions, as we continue to stay safe and to fight the spread of COVID-19.

As William Pollard said, “Without change there is no innovation, creativity, or incentive for improvement. Those who initiate change will have a better opportunity to manage the change that is inevitable”.
