MScTILS External Assessor Evaluation Visit

11 September 2020 – Since Sem 2, 2018/2019, MScTILS by coursework has been offered by CML to the public. Currently, this program has 7 part time students. To maintain standards according to MQA requirements an External Assessor (EA) was appointed to oversee the program. Hence, a 3-day workshop was held in UMP Pekan from 2 nd – 4 th of September 2020.

The job scope of the EA was to evaluate various aspects of our MScTILS program. In doing so, CML appointed Associate Professor Dr Nor Fariza Mohd Nor from Center for Research in Language and Linguistics, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. As the Chair of her centre and extensive background in MQA, she was most suited to evaluate our program. Among the highlights of her visit was evaluation of teaching and learning documents, site visit of facilities offered, and interview sessions among teaching staff and students. On the final day, a hands-on knowledge sharing session on Course Learning Outcome (CLO) and Program Learning Outcome (PLO) mapping according to MQA standards was conducted among all subject coordinators of the faculty. Congratulations to everyone involved, mainly MScTILS team from CML.
