HELLO UMP HI USM: MASTERING MALAY LANGUAGE FOR COMMUNICATION

24- 30 April 2021-Malay Language Unit from the Department of Foreign Language has jointly organised a community service programme entitled “Jom Belajar Bahasa dan Budaya Melayu” with University of Science, Malaysia (USM).

The 10-hours programme highlighted 5 main topics as the foundation of communication in Malay Language. There were 30 students involved consisted of UMP and USM students. Most participants have longed for acquiring the skill set to master Malay Language for communication purposes. Two language teachers; Miss Jamilah Bebe Mohamad and Madam Anis Nabilla Ahmad gave their best in conducting the programme as participants thrived to achieve its outcome. Participants were exposed to an array of Malay Language elements and further tested with online quizzes based on the learnt topics. Finally, it is hoped this programme has succeeded in enriching and equipping the participants the ability to communicate confidently in Malay.
